Terms and conditions
Last updated: 17 October 2026
1. Who we are
The webshop on this website is operated by:
- Hof Ter Bree-Eik — [to be completed: legal form and registered name]
- Registered office: [to be completed: street and number], 1750 Lennik, Belgium
- Company / VAT number: [to be completed: BE0…]
- Email: [to be completed: email address] — phone: [to be completed: phone number]
You can also reach us through the contact form.
2. Scope
These terms and conditions apply to every order placed through our webshop, by private individuals (consumers) as well as business customers. By placing an order, you accept these terms. Deviations only apply if we confirm them in writing. Business customers are additionally subject to the specific provisions in article 9.
3. Offer and prices
- Our range is seasonal and available while stocks last. Photos are for illustration; small differences in appearance, size or weight are inherent to fresh farm produce.
- All prices are in euro and include VAT. There are no delivery charges: orders are picked up at the farm.
- Promotions and discount codes only apply within the stated period and conditions and cannot be combined unless expressly stated.
- Obvious errors in the offer or price (such as a typo) are not binding on us.
4. Ordering
- You choose your products and a pickup time and complete the order. A minimum order value applies, which is shown in your cart.
- The contract is concluded as soon as your payment has been received. You will then receive a confirmation by email.
- If payment is not completed within the time allowed, the order lapses automatically and the reserved products are released.
- If a product unexpectedly turns out to be unavailable after confirmation (for example due to a failed harvest), we will let you know and refund the amount concerned.
5. Payment
Private customers pay online when completing the order through our payment partner Stripe, using the payment methods offered there. We do not receive or store card details ourselves.
6. Pickup
- Orders are picked up at the farm at the pickup time you chose when ordering. Please bring your order number or confirmation email.
- If you can't make it, let us know as soon as possible. We'll see together whether another pickup time is possible.
- Because these are fresh products, we cannot keep uncollected orders indefinitely. Uncollected orders are not refunded unless otherwise agreed.
- The risk of the products passes to you when you pick them up.
7. Cancellation and right of withdrawal
- You can cancel an order yourself free of charge via My account up to 24 hours before your pickup time. Any amount already paid is refunded to the original payment method.
- Fresh food and other products that spoil or expire quickly are excluded by law from the right of withdrawal. The same applies to sealed goods that were unsealed after pickup and are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons.
- For other products, as a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you picked them up, without giving any reason. Let us know your decision unambiguously (for example by email or through the contact form) and return the products unused and in their original packaging to the farm within 14 days. We will refund the purchase price within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method.
8. Quality, complaints and warranty
- Check your order at pickup. If something is wrong with a product, let us know as soon as possible and, for fresh products, no later than 48 hours after pickup, with your order number and a photo if possible. That way we can look into it and propose a suitable solution: a replacement, a credit or a refund.
- Non-perishable products are covered by the two-year statutory consumer warranty.
- You can file complaints through our complaints page.
- Allergen information is listed with the product or available on request. If you have an allergy, please contact us before ordering.
9. Business customers
- Business customers can apply for a business account with their VAT number. Once approved, business prices apply and, if so agreed, payment by invoice.
- An order on invoice is final from the moment it is submitted. Invoices are payable within the term stated on the invoice (30 days by default).
- In the event of late payment, interest is due automatically and without notice of default in accordance with the Belgian Act of 2 August 2002 on combating late payment in commercial transactions, plus the flat-rate compensation provided for therein.
- The right of withdrawal does not apply to business purchases. Complaints about visible defects must be reported at pickup.
- We may suspend a business account in the event of unpaid invoices or misuse.
10. Account
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all orders placed through your account. If you notice any misuse, let us know immediately.
11. Liability and force majeure
- We do our utmost to grow, store and prepare our products with care. Our liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned, except in the event of intent or gross negligence and without prejudice to your mandatory rights as a consumer.
- In the event of force majeure — such as extreme weather, a failed harvest, animal disease or an outage of our webshop or payment partner — we may cancel or reschedule an order in whole or in part. You will then be refunded the amount concerned.
12. Privacy
We process your personal data as described in our privacy statement and our cookie policy.
13. Applicable law and disputes
- These terms are governed by Belgian law.
- We always try to resolve any dispute amicably first. If that fails, consumers can contact the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (consumentenombudsdienst.be).
- Failing an agreement, the courts of the judicial district of Brussels have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the statutory rules allowing a consumer to bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence.
